File:
- "Open Log ..." - Used to open .evt files saved with EventReader 2 or
Microsoft Event Viewer
- "Save Log ..." - Used to save the current log in .evt format.
- "Export Log..." - Used to export the current view in text or html mode.
- "Exit" - Used to exit the EventReader 2 program.
Options:
- "Filter..." - Used to filter the events displayed in the right panel. The
filtering can be done by time delta (in hours) and by event type. The same
filtering is used in the consolidated logs view.
- "HTML Report format..." - Used to set the fonts and the colors used in the HTML reports generated by EventReader 2
- "Advanced Settings..." - Used to set the following options:
1. Enable/disable the events processing progress bar
2. Enable/disable and the time interval for Auto Refresh of the right panel
3. Enable/disable the Notification feature. If enabled, when a new event is found after a refresh, an email is sent to the configured email address with details about the newly found events
4. Enable/disable the display of the local computer. This is useful when EventReader is installed on a workstation and the administrator only needs to monitor some remote servers.
- "Delete" - Removes an opened .evt file from the logs' tree (does not delete the .evt file)
- "Refresh..." - Used to refresh the current view with the latest events from
the computers' list. If you switch to
another log and then return to the first log, the first log is automatically
refreshed.
- "Toolbar" - Used to toggle the display of the toolbar.

- "License..." - Used to enter the licensing information.
- "About EventReader 2..." - Displays the EventReader version and a hyperlink to EventReader
